Watch the Ted Talk, “Ziauddin Yousafzai: My daughter, Malala” and read the article, “Violence Against Pakistani Women.” Then, write an analytical paragraph in which you determine which media outlet was more impactful in the conversation on women’s rights in Pakistan. Which rhetorical appeals (ethos, pathos, logos) were used in each and how are the rhetorical appeals used to make the argument stronger? How are the women in Pakistan being oppressed?

How do you believe that a country, such as Pakistan, could begin to change societal viewpoints soon? How does this type of oppression compare to oppression that you read about in the United States or other countries? Is there a form of oppression that is the worst? How can oppression be ranked?
